Hitting the sales

I can honestly say that I've really resisted the sales shopping this Christmas and January. I have checked out a couple of websites (shoe shops of course!) but not really been tempted to spend.

However, I succumbed to temptation and made a purchase. I do have to say that this is an investment piece. I researched reviews and selected a more expensive piece rather than opt for the cheaper product with less than glowing reports. I've gone for classic monochrome that will be timeless, season upon season.

So have I made you eager to see my purchase? Well here it is -

The key to domestic bliss
I bought a iron! Not just any iron but a Bosch Steam Station. I've spent £100 pounds on an iron! My old iron was basically exhausted after nine loyal years of service. Apparently my new iron is the perfect accessory for budding domestic goddess with ironing time reduced by 50%, providing more time to whip up a cake, dust or my personal favourite browse blogs or websites.

To be honest, it is rather good but quite bulky so I'm not sure where I'm going to store it. I'm also a bit concerned that my ironing board and cover don't really match up to standard, I need to get accessorizing my new purchase.

oh dear - is this the start of a slippery slope choosing domesticity over fashion???

I've never owned an iron in my life and intend to keep it that way. A lot of my fashion designer friends have these irons and swear by them xx

Haha, I've never given much thought about how to accessorize an iron before! You must find an extra special ironing board and cover :)

Thanks, the iron is rather good, takes less time to actually get rid of creases. I think I will have to choose domestic goddess over shoe buyer this year to the VAT rise!

It is quite a heft one isnt it! Can you use it as an upright steamer too? I am dying for one but all the proffesional steamers are huge and I have no room to put one.
