Shoe of the week

I have to thank Make Do Style for giving me the 'heads-up' on LK Bennett's current collection of nude shoes.  I've been searching for a pair of nude shoes and I haven't found anything I like, until now . . . I want them all!  Although, I have to say my favourite are these slingback heels priced at £140.

For the first time I am also nominating a runner-up, again from LK Bennett.
Priced at £170, the Jane shoe gives you that sexy secretary chic that you've been coveting ever since you've started watching Mad Men, even though these shoes seem to good to waste on the office!

I'm posting this during my week off work, sat in a pair of £3 primark jogging pants and a sex pistols t-shirt while I take a break from the huge pile of ironing I have to do! I live such a glamourous life! I hope your week is turning out to be more fabulous than mine!

A special nod goes to my good friend who is picking up her brand new white corsa today, did you know that white is the new black?  Here's to her fab new excuse to live life in the glam lane. xx

Victoria - I know, over my budget too so I'm either going to save up or put them on my birthday/Xmas list!

Pearl - I've honestly nevered checked out what LK Bennett have to offer but I will do in future!

Spotted on the street

Today, I was 'spotted on the street', well I suppose you could say spotted in the mirror! I've been meaning to do a post on the boots I own but just haven't got round to doing one yet.  So today, as I've started walking to work due to my car being very poorly. The need to get my dogs Jasper and Harvey to and from doggy-day care (my mum's but didn't it just for one second sound like I was Paris Hilton!) means I needed some boots that were made for walking. I usually buy a pair of boots every couple of years, I like to try and find a boot with some detailing that could resemble the vintage footwear like buckles or button detailing.  This pair were one of my last boot purchases bought from Barratts, for around £70, in December 2008 for my planned wedding and honeymoon in Vegas and San Francisco.  Funny story though, I thought I would save these boots for the holidays and choose to leave them in the box untouched until March when I'd be jettin...

where do I start?

I've been neglecting my blog for the past few weeks while I've been suffering from a horrible chest infection.  I've just not had the energy to research shoes and window shop the latest that the high street has to offer. So now I'm dosing up on medicine and determined to get myself back on track. To help kick start my research, I've treated myself to some magazines, including the latest InStyle magazine, with the fabulous Dannii Minogue gracing the front cover. She is one of my favourite style crushes, especially after last year's X Factor.  In my humble opinion, she definitely won the X-Factor fashion crown! In the Style Candy section, they've listed a lovely pair of shoes available at asos.com that meet the nude trend while tickling your fancy with a feather embellishment. Shoe of the week

Shoe of the week . . . Really? For the current weather we are experiencing, I should be nominating a pair of waders of the week!  With May apparently going to be the wettest month this year, a pair of wellingtons rather than a great pair of heels is what you need.  But why should they be boring. These wellies from Funky Wellingtons should be enough to brighten any dismal day. Got to protect those paws I can't forget my four-legged friends during the wet weather, our dogs still need to get outside and exercise but it doesn't mean they are waterproof!  So, a set of boots for dogs would be perfect to ensure those lower to the ground are protected from the cold too!.
