I am on a little holiday break, staying in a really cute cottage about five minutes drive from Cartmel Village and its famous racecourse. So I got inspired to find a shoe of the week that fits a day at the races, you just need to make sure you've got a ticket to the VIP stand!

My first shoe of the week 2014.  Despite the awful weather a girl can still wear heels, especially the Scotsburn from Aldo shoes.  With the rich Bordeaux colour and fabulous double buckles, these are perfect for a fashionable winter.

I love discovering new shoe options online, Call It Spring is one of my latest discoveries.  Its part of the Aldo group and is relatively new to the UK and available from stores including Debenhams.   The collection has the usual staple styles: mid heels, Mary Jane's, ballet flats . . .  the prices like these Wedges   are really reasonable for a high street budget.

It had to be tangerine shoes this week in recognition of my town's football team making their premiership bid next week.  Blackpool Football Club and thousands of Blackpool fans will be making the trip to Wembley next weekend.  Not sure if the shoes would be ideal for walking up the steps to Wembley but they'd definitely be a stylish way join the 'Tangerine Army' on the big match day. The shoes are from Aldo available from ASOS.

Let's go retro! I'm loving the seventies vibe I'm getting from these heels at Aldo.  Do you know what else I love? . . .  That they're reduced in price! Perfect for the seventies trends we all need to embrace this summer, so did out those flares and vintage maxi dresses. Found in Aldo's endless summer range, here's hoping we get a 'endless summer' too.

This shoe of the week is from Aldo , perfect for the coming spring for wearing with my wide leg jeans or a floral tea dress if I can find one that suits me I'm really liking the trend for chunkier heels, far sturdier for the Blackpool streets; there's no chance of me falling over on the cobbles or getting my heel stuck in a grid!

It's that time again, time to nominate my shoe of the week! It gives me great pleasure to nominate these bad boys from Aldo ,  The Geringer is available in three colours Ice, Taupe, and Dark Brown.  The Taupe pair are priced at £85 while the other two colours have been reduced to £47.98.  Nominated due to my love of a buckled shoe . . . Its as simple as that!
