Shoe of the week

I love discovering new shoe options online, Call It Spring is one of my latest discoveries.  Its part of the Aldo group and is relatively new to the UK and available from stores including Debenhams.   The collection has the usual staple styles: mid heels, Mary Jane's, ballet flats . . .  the prices like these Wedges   are really reasonable for a high street budget.

If I had a time machine, I would go back over the past few decades and stop myself from throwing out my clothes and shoes from the eighties and nineties.  What goes around comes around in the fashion world, so my white stillies from my disco days, would be perfect this season. So, these great stilleto shoes look great whatever year we are in.

For this week's shoe I've been inspired by a recent visit to the Royal Hospital Chelsea where I spent time with the Chelsea pensioners who you might know from their distinctive Scarlet coats. The Dina pump by of Alice + Olivia is my nod to the scarlet uniforms.

I hope you are enjoying a Sunny Bank Holiday weekend wherever you are. Its bright and breezy in Blackpool, not quite ready for sunbathing yet but just right to do a bit of Internet research for shoe of the week.  Irregular Choice are the 'go to' choice when you want a shoe that's a bit different and stands out in the crowd.  I think these Love Dove shoes do this perfectly, don't you?

It had to be shoes

I am so predictable!  With forty pounds worth of vouchers to spend,  my thoughts turned to shoes.  These sparkly peeptoes from Dorothy Perkins caught my eye.  I must have been a magpie in a previous life as despite numerous shoe choices available, I kept being drawn back to these shoes.  I even got carried away and bought the matching clutch too! They are available online at a bargain £20, so there is time to end your weekend on a sparkly note!
