New shoes, nude shoes


I needed some new shoes for work, my shoe collection is split into two camps - the premiership which are my shoes that I save 'for best' and the reserve side which are my work shoes. My work shoes are either bought specifically for work or are shoes relegated from the premiership due to poor performance or my love for them has waned but I still need to get my value for money. 

Its not that I don't wish to wear some of my 'premiership' shoes for work but either driving in them or walking the 40 minute trek to work (with my dog in tow for half the journey) would be impractical.


I needed some new shoes for work and rather than stick to the usual black court shoes, I've decided to dip into nude for Spring. I bought this about a month ago from Additions Direct (unfortunately I can't find a link to them on the site). I quite like the retro look about them and its still got a heel but I'll not cripple myself  while marching to work on the beat of my ipod.



I've been saving them for the warmer weather and accordingly to the weather forecast we should be experiencing a lot of sun over the next few days, so I might finally get chance to wear them!  Have you dug out your sandals yet?

PS I'm trying to improve my photos for the blog, my current studio is the top step of my hallway stairs. I hoping to do up my blog and give it a spring clean too.

Great choice, they look comfy too I have a similar pair I love for summer. I recently cleared by desk at work and found 3 pairs of shoes Id forgotten about! I always had a stash in my desk just in case!

Today, I was 'spotted on the street', well I suppose you could say spotted in the mirror! Goodbye 2010

As the door to one year closes, another opens Well 2010 is coming to a close.  It's been a mixed bag of a year: a new government in place, Royal Wedding announcements and the plight on miners trapped underground gripped the world.  For me, there were two significant milestones - my first wedding anniversary and the first year since my sister underwent treatment for cancer with an all-clear (we will have five years of these yearly milestones to go through).  In addition, one of my best friends had her first baby and my cousin got engaged on Christmas Day so we have had a couple of great events, which has made a real change from the last couple of years! where do I start?

I've been neglecting my blog for the past few weeks while I've been suffering from a horrible chest infection.  I've just not had the energy to research shoes and window shop the latest that the high street has to offer. So now I'm dosing up on medicine and determined to get myself back on track. To help kick start my research, I've treated myself to some magazines, including the latest InStyle magazine, with the fabulous Dannii Minogue gracing the front cover. She is one of my favourite style crushes, especially after last year's X Factor.  In my humble opinion, she definitely won the X-Factor fashion crown! In the Style Candy section, they've listed a lovely pair of shoes available at asos.com that meet the nude trend while tickling your fancy with a feather embellishment.
