Brassed Off (1996)- Danny's speech



Not much I can say but after watching the film 'Brassed Off' for the numerous time, I cried at the fact that although this film was produced in the nineties, our country hasn't improved in terms of employment but there is still hope.

Shoes? I have so many pairs that I do not wear; used to, loved pretty ones, but now a) arthritis and b) walking down our rural orchard everyday to feed the hens, and visiting farm and garden shows, gumboots are easier! Though I do have some pretty ones for Press Days when I have to work in the rain.

Pearl - how fab that you got to meet Pete, apparently Steven Speilberg considered Pete to be one of the greatest actors ever.

I love Pete, such a shame he went so early.

I'm ashamed to say I've never watched this film because I refuse to watch something half way through. A few of my friends are in it too! I recorded it recently and must get round to watching it xx
