the best way to find your inner rock chick

Now these shoes from ASOS might just tick two boxes for me - 1) I can get my rock chick look down to a T and 2) I will have finally found a pair of shoe boots I like. 

I could have done with these boots tonight as I attended a battle of the bands event at my nephews college and the dress code was cool, like Skins. I will do a post later but during my hours spent with my thirteen year old niece I found out that I can't complement someone of their hair as its not the done thing and that I have a FOD - forehead of doom ie an extremely high forehead!).   I need these boots sending in a tied ribbon box to my house immediately just to make me feel better.

Having a busy week, so I'm planning to catch up on all your lovely blogs and reply to your great comments on Thursday.  Hope you'll all looking forward to the bank holiday weekend because I know I am. x

Today, I was 'spotted on the street', well I suppose you could say spotted in the mirror! I've been meaning to do a post on the boots I own but just haven't got round to doing one yet.  So today, as I've started walking to work due to my car being very poorly. The need to get my dogs Jasper and Harvey to and from doggy-day care (my mum's but didn't it just for one second sound like I was Paris Hilton!) means I needed some boots that were made for walking. where do I start?

I've been neglecting my blog for the past few weeks while I've been suffering from a horrible chest infection.  I've just not had the energy to research shoes and window shop the latest that the high street has to offer. So now I'm dosing up on medicine and determined to get myself back on track. To help kick start my research, I've treated myself to some magazines, including the latest InStyle magazine, with the fabulous Dannii Minogue gracing the front cover. She is one of my favourite style crushes, especially after last year's X Factor.  In my humble opinion, she definitely won the X-Factor fashion crown! In the Style Candy section, they've listed a lovely pair of shoes available at asos.com that meet the nude trend while tickling your fancy with a feather embellishment. Goodbye 2010

As the door to one year closes, another opens Well 2010 is coming to a close.  It's been a mixed bag of a year: a new government in place, Royal Wedding announcements and the plight on miners trapped underground gripped the world.  For me, there were two significant milestones - my first wedding anniversary and the first year since my sister underwent treatment for cancer with an all-clear (we will have five years of these yearly milestones to go through).  In addition, one of my best friends had her first baby and my cousin got engaged on Christmas Day so we have had a couple of great events, which has made a real change from the last couple of years!
