I'm looking for a shoe that will be perfect for the in-between seasons stage. Do you think these would do?

Its been a long time between posts, life has been a little hectic but I am trying to improve my work/life/shoe balance starting with getting back to blogging. So, without further delay...let me introduce my latest shoe of the week post ,  Metallic, pointed, block heel and sparkle,  these shoes seem too pretty to wear but I definitely would if they weren't out of stock ;(

My husband and I have been discussing the pros and cons of booking a holiday to New York for 2014.  Obviously the pros are the shopping, the buildings, cocktails, the deli's and a chance to sit on Carrie Bradshaw's brownstone step .  The cons are the current economic climate, money and getting passports renewed, etc. To make a serious decision, I need to stop dreaming about watching down 5th Avenue 'Carrie' style carrying shopping bags and wearing these heels from ASOS!

It had to be tangerine shoes this week in recognition of my town's football team making their premiership bid next week.  Blackpool Football Club and thousands of Blackpool fans will be making the trip to Wembley next weekend.  Not sure if the shoes would be ideal for walking up the steps to Wembley but they'd definitely be a stylish way join the 'Tangerine Army' on the big match day. The shoes are from Aldo available from ASOS.

Setting the bar high for the festivities

So, in a week's time I will be partying with my ladies to celebrate my impending big milestone birthday.  I've asked them to wear their most fabulous shoes (I'm taking every opportunity to get some shoe pictures for my blog). So my sister Kelly has bought herself these shoes from ASOS .  She's bringing up two teenagers on her own, so you can imagine that she doesn't really spend money on herself but sometimes its nice to have a little treat.  It just a pity that my teenage niece is now the same shoe size as her mum, so I think she needs to hide these somewhere safe.

the best way to find your inner rock chick Now these shoes from ASOS might just tick two boxes for me - 1) I can get my rock chick look down to a T and 2) I will have finally found a pair of shoe boots I like.  I could have done with these boots tonight as I attended a battle of the bands event at my nephews college and the dress code was cool, like Skins . I will do a post later but during my hours spent with my thirteen year old niece I found out that I can't complement someone of their hair as its not the done thing and that I have a FOD - forehead of doom ie an extremely high forehead!).   I need these boots sending in a tied ribbon box to my house immediately just to make me feel better. Having a busy week, so I'm planning to catch up on all your lovely blogs and reply to your great comments on Thursday.  Hope you'll all looking forward to the bank holiday weekend because I know I am. x

Now this week's shoe is inspired by the second social event that I've been invited to this year - 1920's hen night, all ladies to dress like flapper girls.  I thought that these T-Bar platforms from ASOS would be perfect whether I'm doing the Charleston or attempting the Beyonce Single Ladies dance!  Now I'm off to dig out my pearls and feather headdress and start practicing my moves!

Its time to nominate my favourite shoe of the week!  These     ALICE Denim Pleat Leather Boots are available at   ASOS  for £110.00.  I can't explain why, even my husband doesn't agree, but I just like them.  Maybe its because if I got them and wore them, it would be like I was doing the whole 'shoe and sock' trend thing (like Fearne Cotton and Blair Waldorf) and getting away with it at my age!
