Just chilling in the cool grass To cut a long story shut, not a lot. I spent the Jubilee Weekend on the couch, watching the celebrations on the telly. It really was a moment in our history and it is strange to think that while I have been lucky enough to celebrate the silver, gold and diamond Jubilees, that our younger generation might not be that fortunate depending on who will succeed the Queen on the Throne. The way she has celebrated her diamond year, its hard to imagine anyone else doing a better job! Its such a pity that the weather was so terrible. What is wrong with our 'not-so-great' British weather? A couple of weeks ago, it was so hot, my dogs didn't know what to do with themselves, finding a cool place out of the sun was a priority for them. Hopefully all are you are enjoying the Great British Summer (finally!).  With the sun comes the excuse to dig out the BBQ. Obviously wearing your best Louboutins or a pair of platform wedges isn't ideal, from a health and safety point of view, if you're in charge of cooking the bangers! So invest in some Toms , so your shoes, while practical, are as sparkling as your afternoon wine spritzer!

Well I'm not sure how your bank holiday weekend is going, but here in Blackpool the weather is hit and miss. Its either blustery wind, torrential rain or the sun peeking through clouds. So instead of enjoying the final month of Summer, I am indoors catching up on Sky+ and looking at events that are coming to Blackpool in the next month. Next week Blackpool Illuminations are being switched and that's usually a signal for the nights to darken earlier and the schools to be back open (seriously, what happened to summer?).  The illuminations are only a ten minute walk from my home so I might take a walk along the promenade to enjoy the lights. Like the majority of the UK, I spent the weekend catching up with family at a couple of outdoor parties, making the most of the sun while it's here!) Everyone seems to be embracing maxi dresses and sandals ( Note to self: I really do need to try on a maxi dress.) My fabulous Aunty Debbie is an Avon lady who really believes in her products and is a great spokeswoman for the Brand.  At an Easter Sunday party, she was wearing these cute Ammi sandals from Avon and they were only £8! Teamed up with a pretty black and white maxi dress, she definitely has got the perfect summer outfit. The shoes are provided with two ribbons to use; either floral or black, so you are getting two for price of one and we all know how we like our bargains!
