Looking forward

Well I'm not sure how your bank holiday weekend is going, but here in Blackpool the weather is hit and miss. Its either blustery wind, torrential rain or the sun peeking through clouds. So instead of enjoying the final month of Summer, I am indoors catching up on Sky+ and looking at events that are coming to Blackpool in the next month.

Next week Blackpool Illuminations are being switched and that's usually a signal for the nights to darken earlier and the schools to be back open (seriously, what happened to summer?).  The illuminations are only a ten minute walk from my home so I might take a walk along the promenade to enjoy the lights.

I'm also going to see Adele at the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool on the 8th. I'm really excited about this and currently undecided on what to wear but we are planning to have a few cocktails, so thinking something cool and chic to wear. I'm also listening to her albums on my ipod in preparation, so thought I'd share my favourite song.

It's been a really quiet summer for me, there seems to be more happening from September onwards, how's the summer been for you?

We used to have illuminations in Walsall but the council stopped them a couple of years ago, I do miss them. Lucky you. x
Also pretty quiet here, only my weeks holiday broke the silence! Haven't done much else really, weather rubbish, taking Little Man to the cinema tomorrow and then he is back to school on Thursday, its gone so quickly x

I moved house in early July so this summer has been really exciting, exhausting and seemingly quick!
Seeing Adele live will be amazing, cocktails sound rather glam too - great excuse to get dressed up x
