Shoe of the week

I'm become a bit boring with my work wardrobe and need some fresh items to revitalise my looks.

This shoe available at Dorothy Perkins fits the bill. So what if they might be a tad unpractical; they are just perfect so I can look smart but have a fashion edge.  They might be the perfect remedy to kick start some new outfits.

Vintage Vixen - Aren't they fab, disappointing that my local Dorothy Perkins isn't stocking them and the shop is due to close shortly :( xx

Pearl - I love the platform detail too. Am gutted not to have attended the meet up bu will definitely be up for going next time. xx

The pattern is lovely. I haven't been in Dorothy Perkins for years but as you know I rarely go in shops anymore, apart from food shops xx

Today, I was 'spotted on the street', well I suppose you could say spotted in the mirror! I've been meaning to do a post on the boots I own but just haven't got round to doing one yet.  So today, as I've started walking to work due to my car being very poorly. The need to get my dogs Jasper and Harvey to and from doggy-day care (my mum's but didn't it just for one second sound like I was Paris Hilton!) means I needed some boots that were made for walking. where do I start?

I've been neglecting my blog for the past few weeks while I've been suffering from a horrible chest infection.  I've just not had the energy to research shoes and window shop the latest that the high street has to offer. So now I'm dosing up on medicine and determined to get myself back on track. To help kick start my research, I've treated myself to some magazines, including the latest InStyle magazine, with the fabulous Dannii Minogue gracing the front cover. She is one of my favourite style crushes, especially after last year's X Factor.  In my humble opinion, she definitely won the X-Factor fashion crown! In the Style Candy section, they've listed a lovely pair of shoes available at asos.com that meet the nude trend while tickling your fancy with a feather embellishment. Goodbye 2010

As the door to one year closes, another opens Well 2010 is coming to a close.  It's been a mixed bag of a year: a new government in place, Royal Wedding announcements and the plight on miners trapped underground gripped the world.  For me, there were two significant milestones - my first wedding anniversary and the first year since my sister underwent treatment for cancer with an all-clear (we will have five years of these yearly milestones to go through).  In addition, one of my best friends had her first baby and my cousin got engaged on Christmas Day so we have had a couple of great events, which has made a real change from the last couple of years! This has also been my first year as a blogger, so I wanted to say thank your for popping by my blog, leaving comments and all your support.  I've really enjoyed blogging and hope to continue developing my blog in the year to come.
