Its all too quiet

Ever had one of those weekends when literally nothing has happened. Its over too soon and you're due back to work on Monday, feeling a little shortchanged that the weekend has resulted in not even one small instance of excitement.  I think I've let the bad weather get to me and its felt like a gloomy weekend and I had no enthusiasm to do anything.  Even the end of Big Brother got to me and I didn't even watch it this year. Its just sad when things come to an end.  What really got to me was the small feature they ran on Jade Goody.  While I wasn't a fan of her, it was just extremely sad to think she has such a short and sometimes horrid life (dying at 27 years old) and her young boys will grow up without their mum. 

I can't sit and complain about being bored and just wait for things to happen, I've got to make them happen, so that my weekends don't go to waste!  So from this day forward, I'm going to be making the most of my weekends whether its a short burst of domestic goddessness or something as simple as meeting a friend for coffee (maybe perhaps with a cupcake thrown in!).  To make up for a lost weekend, on Sunday I helped my mum with some gardening, met my friend Kath for a coffee and helped my husband make a fab roast beef dinner.

 My friend Kath is now officially nine months and one week pregnant: the baby is a week overdue and shows no sign of arriving. Perhaps due to the rubbish weather, the baby has decided its far too chilled and snug to make an appearance yet.  Kath amazes me, she is so relaxed, looks fabulous and has the most perfect baby bump I've seen.  After coffee, Kath, Baby Bump and me checked out the local Next. I spotted these nice stiletto boots with a 'tractor' sole and I took the opportunity to take a picture of said boot with baby bump.  The baby's first introduction to fashion - its always best to teach the young about fashion early!

As the weather has been inconsistent, I've dug out my Miss KG boots , bought last November. I'm not too sure how I'm supposed to wear them yet, so today I teamed them up with some old skinny jeans and a plaid shirt.  If you have any suggestions, they'd be gratefully received.  I hope your weekend was more eventful than mine!

My weekends are never eventful, we do sod all! I had to go into work this afternoon to do a fake tan on someone and that was inbetween watching Derek Lam and DKNY shows live streamed. x

I think those boots would go well with tights, since they come up to the ankle!

I had a fairly relaxing weekend too, not a lot happened to me either so I know how you feel!

With the bad weather settling in, I'm going to have to create a lists of things to do like books I need to read, recipes i need to try to keep myself occupied!

Hi there-really love your boots, they look great on and I think would look good with black opaques and a denim mini or black mini skirt/dress. The weekend went in a flash, considering I didn't do too much either!! x

Today, I was 'spotted on the street', well I suppose you could say spotted in the mirror! I've been meaning to do a post on the boots I own but just haven't got round to doing one yet.  So today, as I've started walking to work due to my car being very poorly. The need to get my dogs Jasper and Harvey to and from doggy-day care (my mum's but didn't it just for one second sound like I was Paris Hilton!) means I needed some boots that were made for walking. where do I start?

I've been neglecting my blog for the past few weeks while I've been suffering from a horrible chest infection.  I've just not had the energy to research shoes and window shop the latest that the high street has to offer. So now I'm dosing up on medicine and determined to get myself back on track. To help kick start my research, I've treated myself to some magazines, including the latest InStyle magazine, with the fabulous Dannii Minogue gracing the front cover. She is one of my favourite style crushes, especially after last year's X Factor.  In my humble opinion, she definitely won the X-Factor fashion crown! In the Style Candy section, they've listed a lovely pair of shoes available at asos.com that meet the nude trend while tickling your fancy with a feather embellishment. Goodbye 2010

As the door to one year closes, another opens Well 2010 is coming to a close.  It's been a mixed bag of a year: a new government in place, Royal Wedding announcements and the plight on miners trapped underground gripped the world.  For me, there were two significant milestones - my first wedding anniversary and the first year since my sister underwent treatment for cancer with an all-clear (we will have five years of these yearly milestones to go through).  In addition, one of my best friends had her first baby and my cousin got engaged on Christmas Day so we have had a couple of great events, which has made a real change from the last couple of years!
