Shoe of the week

Image
I have weddings on my mind this week with my cousin's wedding in September.  I think wearing the perfect shoe now comes a close second to buying the perfect dress. In my research for the perfect wedding shoe, I've come across these amazing shoes.   Not for the faint-hearted bride-to-be.  These babies need to be worn by a woman who is channelling Carrie Bradshaw and they need to be seen and not hidden under the dress.  I only wish I was getting married again so I could buy these to dance down the aisle in.

It's either shoes or cheesecake . . .

. . . that put a smile on my face. Sometimes you need a little treat to get over a mid-week slump. Unfortunately for me, I needed a treat by Tuesday lunchtime (it's been one of those weeks). Luckily my office decided to try some taster cheesecakes from a local company Lancashire Cheesecake Company .  They were just what the doctor ordered.   I tried a salted caramel with peanut cheesecake (an amazing taste sensation) while my friends tried the Lemon Meringue and the Lime and Ginger cheesecakes.  'Delish...', 'scrumptious' 'sublime', 'divine' and 'luscious' were the descriptions given by the office testers.   The cute little cheesecakes were perfect as an introduction to the amazing recipes the company has to offer. and big enough to share (but I wasn't going to share my tasty treat!)  I only wish that I'd been enjoying the cheesecake with a nice glass of chilled wine at a nice bistro somewhere rather than sat at my des...

Finally! The rain has stopped in Blackpool, hopefully the rest of the UK is now enjoying the warmer weather.  Now these shoes from Clarks   sum up the perfect summer shoe.

What I have been up to lately

Just chilling in the cool grass To cut a long story shut, not a lot. I spent the Jubilee Weekend on the couch, watching the celebrations on the telly. It really was a moment in our history and it is strange to think that while I have been lucky enough to celebrate the silver, gold and diamond Jubilees, that our younger generation might not be that fortunate depending on who will succeed the Queen on the Throne. The way she has celebrated her diamond year, its hard to imagine anyone else doing a better job! Its such a pity that the weather was so terrible. What is wrong with our 'not-so-great' British weather? A couple of weeks ago, it was so hot, my dogs didn't know what to do with themselves, finding a cool place out of the sun was a priority for them. It was too hot to play hide and seek On the one sunny day of the Jubilee Weekend, I went to the zoo with my mum and nephew. Blackpool Zoo has undergone a lot of changes since I'd last visited inc...

Finally, today the sun came back out to shine. So we can get 'back on track' and dig out our summer wardrobes. Polka dots always seen perfect for Summer, hence this week's shoe from Barratts online.  These heels are the perfect height to help you reach up to the shelf and get that Pimms jug out of storage, ready for any outdoor parties you might have planned.

Fit for a Queen Naturally this week's shoe is perfect for the Jubilee weekend, I just hope some of you are celebrating the national bank holiday in the sun rather than the wet weather most of us are experiencing. Wouldn't it be fab if the Queen was spotted in shoes like these during the weekend events!
