I have too many shoes

I've recently started a new job and I don't seem to have time for anything, My fashion choices feel limited to office appropriate outfits and sensible heels.  With a trip to NYC planned for later this year, I also need to keep my spending to a minimum.  Not great when the need to have some retail therapy is increasing.  So magazine articles like these are giving me a quick fashion fix, hopefully kick-starting my fashion thinking to take me out of the office while using whatever I own to meet the current trends.    Now these yellow peep toes will be getting their moment to shine in the spring.

I've been on the search for a pair of yellow shoes for ages when I finally spotted this pair in a sales rack. Reduced to £28 on the shop then down to £22 at the till, you can't beat that price to cross an item off your shoe shopping list. I just have to decide what to wear with them yet.

Finally! The rain has stopped in Blackpool, hopefully the rest of the UK is now enjoying the warmer weather.  Now these shoes from Clarks   sum up the perfect summer shoe.

My time management skills have gone to pot and with a sambuca hangover from hell, so I've been a bit slow in blogging this week. Do you ever get obsessed with something you want and until you get it, then you'll never stop obsessing about it. Well since I first saw these yellow shoes online , I have the urge to buy a yellow pair of shoes for summer despite the fact that the blooming sun has gone!  So I indulged my obsession and checked out what was online. So I could buy these sandals from Next . . . And I quite like these . . . If I won the lottery, I would definitely have these . . . but if the great British Weather continues I'll be needing these !

I cannot believe how rotten the May weather has been.  To cheer myself up, I decided to search for a pair of shoes that sum up what sunny really means.  The heel is 13.5cm so you're nearly touching the sky wearing these, perhaps we could reach and pull Mr Sun out from behind those clouds. The shoes are from Schuh and there are a couple of options to get a free delivery which might save you a few pennies.

These shoes from River Island really cut the mustard for me! The yellow wedges ,  priced at £64.99, have a heel height of 10.5 cm, so wearing them would be an uplifting experience for a shortie like me. I really love this colour for winter; the peep toe, ankle strap and stitching detail all add to its design.  The River Island website also provides outfit suggestions to create a whole look around the shoes.  I wasn't keen on the outfit it suggested for these yellow cuties but I can imagine if you've only got a limited time to do some online shopping, then this service would be really useful when you're in a rush to buy an outfit for the weekend. I can picture myself wearing these with thick tights and a fine grey knit dress on Christmas Day 2010.  However, based on the weather last year with the snow and ice, I need to be investing in snow shoes or planning an outfit around a pair of wellies! Any suggestions gratefully received . . ....

An article  in the Daily Mail reports on the findings of a study where its been established that the average woman in her lifetime spends more than £16,000 on shoes - flip flops, boots, heels, etc - in her lifetime.  The study, by  Gocompare  questioned 3,000 women on their shoe habits.  From the results, its worked about that from the age of 14 over the course of their lifetime women will buy around 469 pairs of shoes. Its made me think that if I resisted the temptation, over the course of my life, to buy shoes and save the money, that by the time I hit 70 I would finally be able to afford that Yellow Volkswagen Beetle that I've been coveting for such a long time.  But then, were would the fun be in that, I'd had wouldn't have enjoyed the memories that my shoes have carried me to! I do wonder though, where the survey took place . . . Thing is, the survey says that the average woman has at any point in time got around 19 pairs of sh...
