Shoe of the week

Image
Believe it or not but these are shoes! Designed by Julian Hakes , the Mojito shoe could be used as a work of art rather than a mode of transport.  Available online at Cloggs online - do you dare to be different?

Where did my shoes take me this week?

I keep meaning to use my Twitter more and tweet daily pictures of the shoes I am wearing but haven't managed it yet but in the meantime here's a little post on what I did over the past couple of weeks. My camera is on the blink so haven't been able to upload my new pictures yet :( so I'm relying on my picture archive for this post. I wore these shoes to celebrate a good friend leaving work, to complement my shoes I work a vintage-style lace top, khaki chinos with turn-ups and a cropped denim jacket.  This was only the second time I'd worn these 'glamazon' heels and they definitely added such much needed height to little 5'3" me.  In fact someone I've known for years said they had never seen me so tall.  After eight hours of celebration, I made 'like cinderella' and put these gorgeous shoes to bed, to be honest my poor feet were aching but I have to say for the first five hours of wear I walked tall, they made me feel so confiden...

I'm a little bit jealous . . .

I've quite proud of myself, I've not bought any shoes for quite a few months now and its given me a chance to give some of my neglected shoes an airing.  This should give me more value for money ie number of wears against cost but I've started to get that feeling that I need a new acquisition to my collection!  This has increased since my sister  Tara showed me her new purchase from River Island.  I'm quite jealous; these fit the nude trend this season and I've yet to find my perfect pair of nude shoes on the high street. These are definitely statement shoes and I love the hot pink heel and cut out detail.  The bow detail at the front are super cute! It's a pity Tara is a size five, I'd have loved to borrow them for a night out, althought I might have had to sneak these out of her wardrobe!  Now all she has to do is find the right outfit to really show off the shoes.  I've suggested a little black dress (LBD) with a skinny hot ...

My latest city break - Krakow

Image
I still can't get my head around the weight restrictions for luggage; I either end up paying for a too-heavy case (costing me an additional £25 for my trip to Vegas last March) or having a lighter suitcase when I really could have fit an extra pair of shoes in there. Like my recent trip to Krakow, for instance. I definitely would have benefitted from taking my Kurt Geiger pixie boots to create a cool yet practical city-break outfit. Luckily, I had the chance to test out my new pair of Uggs (classic and grey - a 2009 christmas present from the husband) needed for the snowy weather. Krakow is a beautiful city, well worth taking a visit to enjoy the beautiful buildings, culture, food and drink. It's hard to believe that its only started getting tourists in the early 1990s. Our tour, guide Isabella, explained that one of the reasons the city started getting visitors was due to the Speilberg film Schindlers List We'd booked the three hour The Jewish District and the Footsteps o...
