I have too many shoes

I haven't bought a pair of shoes in quite a while, so I really wanted something for a small budget that would tick a trend and be perfect for summer.  These heels from New Look were under £20, tick two trends -  block heels and ankle straps - and are nude, the perfect understated colour for summer. For their first outing, I teamed the shoes with a bright green crepe  top  from Tesco, a pair of Demi Curve Levi's and some gold jewellery but completely forgot to accessorise with my trusty camera to get an outfit shot!.

A few weeks ago I was feeling really sorry for myself.  But, I think the gods of retail were looking down on me when I popped to our local Tesco supermarket for milk and a loaf and came home with these boots. The best part about it, was how much they cost; priced at £25.00, I got them for the princely sum of 50 pence! You can't even buy a packet of Smarties for that.   I nearly didn't spot them as the bargain basket in the shop was surrounded by ladies who weren't for moving.  So I had to dive in like one of those grab machine at an amusement arcade and grab myself a pair.  Luckily I managed to get a pair in my size and got myself to the self service tills to 'ring' up my purchase.  PS I didn't forget my milk and loaf.

While it would be great to write about the latest addition to my shoe collection or what's on offer on the high street, in this current climate I can't simply write about what I've bought or what you can buy.  While I would honestly buy a new pair of shoes a week (okay, a new pair a day) the current financial climate means I can't and I won't. But I still want to write about shoes, I love shoes, it's not materialistic, some woman like handbags, others collect art or figurines . . . I love shoes, always have been a shoe person, always will be.  This blog is really about my love of shoes, with other bits about my life mingled in.  So to mix it up, but continue with the theme, I'm going to explore what my friends, families and colleagues think about shoes too.  Look at what they like, memories surrounding their shoes and why they were bought.  So here is my first 'shoe interview'.
