Shoe of the week

Image
So, we are just over two weeks away from the Royal Wedding, Kate and Wills have performed their last public engagement before they say 'I do' in front of a world-wide audience of millions, and I'm assuming that people are making plans to celebrate the wedding and the public holiday. These shoes are the closest I could get  to red, white and blue shoes for the royal occasion. Currently featured on the M&S Spring advert and modelled by Lisa Snowden, this are the perfect shoes for the celebrations, whether you're attending the church or a street party, you'll definitely be in style!

how was Christmas for you?

It seems like everyone has had a snowy Christmas in the UK this year.  While its great to have a White Christmas (especially if you have placed a bet at William Hills, it has meant traffic problems, delivery issues, shortages of supplies and for some people a change of plans. Therefore not such a wonderful time of the year for some. As one of the only two drivers in the family, I'm finally glad the snow has thawed, no more ice to deal with, no more defrosting the inside of my car as well as the outside, no more ice-skating in the local Asda car park.  The final straw for me was my car skidding into a main road on Christmas Day, luckily I didn't manage to drive into a passing car so I think Father Christmas may have been looking out for me on that day!  The snow also plays havoc with my planned Christmas outfit, no glam heels or pretty dress for Christmas 201I 0, walking two Jack Russells home in sub-zero temperatures meant lots of layering, thick socks and Uggs! Lisa versus Elle - you decide

The Next Top Models programmes are my guilty pleasure. Its one of the only reality series that I really enjoy,  from Tyra Bank's original series to its counterparts across the world.  The Next Top Model series is also produced in Germany, Australia and Canada, to name a few.  This year the British Next Top Model had a few changes for its sixth season; a change in host and judges and a live finale where the public decided the winner. Now, I can't discount Elle 'The Body' Macpherson's credentials to be the host of a modelling competition but I honestly cannot see any improvement by replacing the original host Lisa Snowdon.  Lisa came across astute, friendly and interesting.  Elle surprisingly was really bland, repetitive and quite cold. Don't get me wrong she looked amazing but I wanted to be entertained rather than be in awe of her glamour!  I much prefer Lisa and hopes she returns for the next season, but I'm assuming that the produc...
